When you create an event, you choose its privacy setting. For a game with your own circle, select Private.
Private
Just the people you invite.
Your event is hidden from people who haven’t been invited. Ideal for friends, colleagues, clients or your own networking circle.
Public
Open it up.
Anyone can see the event details and join. A good choice when you want to meet new people or welcome the wider VASO community.
Semi-private
Visible, with invitations controlled.
Anyone can see the event title, date and image. They must request an invitation to see the full details and join.
From “we should play” to a date in the diary.
- Create your event.
Head to Events and select + Add Event. Give it a name, add the venue, date and time, and explain what you have in mind. - Make it Private.
Change the privacy dropdown from Public to Private if you only want your invited guests to take part. You can also select Hide guest list. - Save and invite your people.
Select Save and publish, then follow the Invite members step. You can invite VASO members or enter email addresses for people who haven’t joined yet. - Keep everyone coordinated.
Use the event page to track RSVPs, share updates and keep the details together. You can invite more people later from the event page.
A couple of useful tips.
Add a square event image, ideally 600 × 600 pixels or larger, so it displays neatly. Include the playing standard, any costs, equipment needed and whether you’re meeting for a drink afterwards.
Remember to arrange your court booking directly with the venue. Your VASO event helps coordinate the people and plans.
